Description of ScyllaDB

Scylla is the real-time big data database. A drop-in alternative to Apache Cassandra and Amazon DynamoDB, Scylla embraces a shared-nothing approach that drives industry-leading throughput and storage capacity--as much as 10X that of Cassandra. Comcast, IBM, Fanatics, Discord, Medium, FireEye, Grab, Starbucks, Ola Cab and many more leading companies have adopted Scylla to realize order-of-magnitude performance improvements and reduce hardware costs. Scylla is available in Open Source, Enterprise and fully managed Cloud editions. ScyllaDB was founded by the team responsible for the KVM hypervisor. For more information: scylladb.com

Easy and smooth database interaction for everyone

The best thing about this product it's ease with which you can get started up using any programming language or framework like PHP/Java etc., It has great support from its community around world wide also one could easily find some good tutorials online regarding how they use their API within certain frameworks such as Laravel & NodeJS so I would say there are no downsides at all really! If your looking into an easy way out then definitely try them because once set everything works smoothly…

Pros
  • I would say the ease with which you can use the API and the way the community around the world support the product
Cons
  • I would say it's a great product! I would definitely use it

Extremely useful database replication tool for disaster recovery purposes

I used it at work with our ERP system (SAP). It has been very stable over time even when we had large amounts transactions per second running through this product! The support from their customer service department also helped us solve some issues quickly which made my day better than usual :) We are using SQL Server but sometimes there were problems where queries took longer then expected or failed because they timed out due too high load - not sure if other DBs would be able handle these…

Pros
  • Stability, easy maintenance for backups & restores across environments, fast performance in terms how data is processed + storage wise aswell..etc..good replication features that makes easier setting up cluster databases
Cons
  • Maybe pricing can vary depending upon usage amount vs costs

The management console makes it very easy t run queries quickly against large datasets (5TB). Nothing really comes immediately when considering this product over others such MySQL or MongoDb etc.. Just because ScyldB does not get enough recognition. I believe compared other open source products like these two which are widely used all around us currently where ever we go at least if you know what i mean. The only downside will be having access control enabled with your keyspace configuration…

Pros
  • Easy to use
  • No hassle of managing master nodes for sharding configurations as well.
  • Very fast execution time, almost 2X faster than traditional RDMBS's using native drivers in java/nodejs languages while also providing an ease of use experience without any additional dependencies required unlike cassandra & mongodb.
Cons
  • Almost never
