I recently bought a new 27 inch ViewSonic monitor for work. looked at the exact dimensions of the screen and this 3m filter fitted perfectly. 3M has a different filter for a 27" monitor with a slightly different screen size than when I last bought my 24" monitor (when the filter arrived I had to trim it a bit to fit, you know it never comes fully out Right.) With this filter, I bring the 'shiny side' to me, which as they say can be bad with glare (I hardly notice) but really allows YOU to see the screen incredibly clearly , but unless you're standing directly in front of the monitor, NO OTHERS can see anything - from an angle of around 25 degrees, it's dark enough that you can't read anything on it. the screen. At an angle of about 25 degrees, you only see a completely black screen. If I turned it with the shiny side facing the LCD and the darker side facing me, I would (probably) have less glare, but the screen itself would look a bit dimmer. It's just a personal preference that everyone decides for themselves. I run a law firm, so pretty much everything I open on my screen is private, including salary information, client deposit accounts, or whatever, but someone could be standing next to my desk and not see anything. If you really need privacy I can't recommend it highly enough. My only advice would be to carefully measure each monitor (or check the specs) so you can mount it correctly - 3M will provide you with the exact dimensions of each filter. Oh, and make sure you don't have one for your employees OR children. You must be held accountable! It's too tempting to play solitaire, surf the internet or do something you shouldn't when you know no one can see what you're doing! ;around)
