Review on 🩹 Mepitac 298300 Soft Silicone Tape – Versatile and Gentle Adhesive Tape for Wounds, Scars, and Medical Care by Fred Novak

I use Biocorneum Silicone Cream twice a day on post surgery scars as recommended by my surgeon. I came across Mepitac Silicone Tape while looking for something to protect my scars from UV rays while tanning. These strips are transparent so they don't block any UV rays, but they worked incredibly well in reducing the purple area of my scars and changing the last part of the purple to white. I used Biocorneum under Mepitac Tape and my surgeon was amazed at the progression of my scars. I'm someone who scars easily and usually has scars that heal very slowly (they stay purple for a long time). I highly recommend using this tape, especially in combination with Biocorneum if you can afford it. The band resists sweat well. I shower every day and exercise every other day. I would change the tape every other day but I could leave it there longer if I wanted to. Finally, every time I changed the tape, I reapplied Biocorneum. I highly recommend this combined use of Mepitac and Biocorneum.
