By a brown man, that's great!

This is the exact same scar tape I bought from the surgeon's office. I have large scars on my chest post surgery and this tape lasted me about 3 weeks when used as recommended (3 days, 1 day off, repeat). The first thing I noticed was that like everyone else with darker skin, the area around my scars was darker, making it appear like the scars were wider than they really were, and it didn't look right either. However, I continued to use it and I'm glad I did! My scars have turned pink and faded

Previously opened on first aid tape

Just received this and the packaging has obviously been opened before - looks like it has been opened and used many times - and then taped again. The tape inside is looser than what the doctor gave me and in some places it seems to be peeling away from the base, like someone replaced the original roll of tape with a hand-wound one. For now I'm giving this one star because the health products should never have been used before and possibly should be replaced. This raises questions about possible

Don't waste your money on this, buy Kelo Cote instead!

I had knee surgery which resulted in a giant keloid. My keloid is so sensitive that my pajamas, sheets or whatever can irritate it. The doctor prescribed me medication and said the only thing I could do was to have one more operation to remove the scar tissue. Of course I rejected this approach! After reading positive reviews about Mepitac Tape, I decided to buy it. First, the width of the band is not 1 inch. it is actually 0.8 inch which barely covers my keloid. The only purpose I feel this…

After reading all the great reviews on this

After reading all the great reviews on it. I thought this would be a good product to use after a second breast reduction. It was cheaper than other brands and all reviews seemed positive. I started using it three weeks after my surgery, thinking the sooner the better. I used it with silicone gel. After the first week I started to see that the scars looked very bad; they darkened. I figured since everyone got great results I should keep going. It wasn't until I did a spot test on another scar on

recommended by my surgeon

I use Biocorneum Silicone Cream twice a day on post surgery scars as recommended by my surgeon. I came across Mepitac Silicone Tape while looking for something to protect my scars from UV rays while tanning. These strips are transparent so they don't block any UV rays, but they worked incredibly well in reducing the purple area of my scars and changing the last part of the purple to white. I used Biocorneum under Mepitac Tape and my surgeon was amazed at the progression of my scars. I'm someone

MAGICAL AF: Healthcare

People. I recently had foot surgery where the doctor cut off my old scar and I was keen to keep an eye out for what's new coming out (the first time was 10 years ago). The scar is a decent length (about 5 inches long) and while it was a bit smaller and more easy to care for than the previous one, I wanted to do my best to care for it. I've used creams and everything and found them to be fine, but I wanted the best results. After some research, mentions kept popping up of silicone scar plates…

I'm surprised by the low ratings for this band but not shocked by their comments. Folks, you won't see the results you think you will see in 2-4 weeks! Scar pads take longer than new scars and twice as long as old ones, but this tape really works. I gave it 4* because it's so much better than scar-away pads. Now these pads are thicker and have a nice cloth backing but this tape. armpit to another. over 2 feet long. I used a whole pack of Scar-Away Pads and they balled up and fell off. Don't…
