I had knee surgery which resulted in a giant keloid. My keloid is so sensitive that my pajamas, sheets or whatever can irritate it. The doctor prescribed me medication and said the only thing I could do was to have one more operation to remove the scar tissue. Of course I rejected this approach! After reading positive reviews about Mepitac Tape, I decided to buy it. First, the width of the band is not 1 inch. it is actually 0.8 inch which barely covers my keloid. The only purpose I feel this 18:00 roll of tape serves is as a very expensive roll of Band Aid. I was lucky to find out about Kelo Kote. Using this was my salvation. I no longer have to take medication and can sleep at night wearing jeans and other clothing that covers the scar without irritation!
