I was an avid runner in high school and during my 20 years of service in the Marine Corps, running in grueling terrain was my hobby. Life happened, medial meniscus surgery, overtraining legs in the gym and I started having bilateral patellar knee pain due to age (67) and overuse. I have tried several different types of braces with little or no success until I found these and I won’t use anything else. Sizing chart is accurate and I strongly recommend that you measure for fit before you buy. These sleeves have a gel filled patellar support ring that enables me to run painlessly on concrete as well as asphalt and this allows me to return to running outdoors again. This is a life changer for me because I no longer have to restrict myself to indoor elliptical or treadmills, both are effective for generating the coveted endorphins, but nothing beats fresh air and Texas sunshine. I have purchased these braces 3 times and still use all three pairs, rotating them for cleaning. I have recommended them to my friends as well because they are amazing and extremely durable. I hand wash them and throw them outside to dry and they can be turned inside out without damaging the side braces. This is an unsolicited review.
