Review on πŸ’‘ Lava Original 25-Watt Replacement Bulbs - Pack of 2 by Jonathan Collins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

25W just isn't suitable for lava lamps, they are rated for

. came very different from the picture, just comes in a small box with some bubble bags around it, nothing wrong with that but certainly doesn't look like an official product replacement. Now comes the problem with the product it is intended for. Work with a lava lamp, which is likely to explode if you plug something hotter into the socket. Either these bulbs really aren't 25W (or they are, but they don't generate the heat they need), or they are but the wax is too thick or something, but that's not enough to get the "lava "Really heat up and get it dripping into the lamp as expected. It only creates a wax pillar for about 8 hours (I have a lamp on my desk at work so it only turns on when I'm in the office). Maybe it's the lamps, or maybe it's the wax? I'm not sure but I went with the 35W with the same base and form factor and now my lamp does what it's supposed to. Maybe you need a 29W bulb instead of these lamps? πŸ€” Any lightbulb engineers want to work on it? tl; dr - lamp turns on, hasn't burned out yet, but not hot enough for 25 watt lava lamps (or at least mine), so maybe the lamp is fine, but lava is the problem
