Review on 📞 AT&T (1740WH) Digital Answering System with Date and Time Stamp, in White by Robert Moloney

This is a good answering machine with some positive qualities such as: B. the ability to set the number of rings before answering. However, two negative points noted by other reviewers prevent me from giving it 5 stars. Those downsides are the insistence on not setting the time every time you listen to an incoming message, and the horrible sound of an outgoing message (aka an announcement) when you record it with the device's built-in microphone. Regarding that last comment, I recorded an outgoing message and it sounded good, but I decided I wanted to use different words, so I recorded a second message. It didn't sound that clear so I tried again and it got worse and the fourth try was even worse. We were about to send it back when I thought of calling the answering machine and using remote commands to record a new message by speaking into my phone instead of the answering machine's mic. This message came out perfectly (taking into account the speaker's limitations).
