I bought this watch with very low expectations for the price. Whether this is right for you depends on what you want from a health tracker. I was looking for a simple device that was more advanced than a regular pedometer and had more features than the health app built into my iPhone. I wasn't interested in a complex device with a ton of features that I will never use or need. I've always used my iPhone to track my steps, distance, and sleep. However, I don't always carry my phone with me and its sleep tracker is rarely accurate, stopping before I get up every time I use the phone. So I wanted something to wear to improve step accuracy and sleep. In particular, I wanted a tracker that included: step count, calories burned, fitness monitor (walking, biking, hiking), motion detector, sleep monitor, female health tracker, timer, and stopwatch. I also wanted a blood pressure monitor but after a few days of research I settled on the Fitpolo as it had everything I wanted other than that feature. Likes: - The battery life is excellent. I started using it straight away (it was already at 97% charge and after wearing it for 14 straight days it's now at 15%. - Sedentary signal. This is my favorite feature and was one of my top priorities in the Health tracker. You can set alarm intervals and start and end times for the day. - On rare occasions, the sleep monitor works, it records the amount of deep and light sleep - Although I wasn't interested in tracking heart rate, it is accurate (0-4 beats per minute difference when I compare the number to other heart rate measurements or count my pulse) - Fitness tracker works properly - Female health monitor works properly - Music controller works properly - Device is simple, convenient and easy to read.I had no trouble syncing Fitpolo to my iPhone and its data to mine's health app to sync your phone. Dislikes: - Unlike other fitness tracking apps, the Fitpolo timer keeps running when you stop during your activity. You must manually pause or end the activity. For me, this is a minor inconvenience. I understand you get what you pay for but the app is terrible. This is a cheap product so I was expecting a cheap app (quality, value, user experience). On the other hand, it works, is easy to use and keeps track of all data. The app (along with the sleep monitor) is the main reason for my poor overall rating. Also, the app doesn't sync automatically. I often have to manually refresh it to update or view data. The sleep monitor is extremely unstable. Sometimes it's fairly accurate, other times it incorrectly records sleep with little to no sleep, and once it recorded that I slept when I was awake and not in bed. I bought the pink version (because the black one wasn't available) and the band already looks faded after 14 days of use. There are also plans to replace it with a black strap. Other: - When I compare my phone's built-in pedometer with the Fitpolo when walking outdoors, the Fitpolo is 120 steps behind. So I ran some tests (indoors and outdoors) without syncing devices and compared the number of steps. Each time the Fitpolo had fewer steps. I can't say definitively which is the most accurate as it's possible my phone is more sensitive to movement and this isn't necessarily a fault of the Fitpolo. If I walk slowly and count my steps, the Fitpolo is pretty accurate. Overall grade: B-. Despite some flaws, I plan to continue using my Fitpolo as it meets almost all of my perceived needs and what it offers at a reasonable price. Since my only desire is to track specific health data that my phone either doesn't track or misses (I'm not interested in texts, calls, or other non-wellness-related features), I'm happy with my purchase.
