The biggest annoyance with traditional blenders is their bulkiness and cleaning process. In this device, the mixing container is the bottle, which is lightweight and only needs to be cleaned after you have enjoyed your drink. You connect the base, pour the ingredients into the bottle, unscrew the mixing blade and twist the bottle into the base to start mixing. When you're done, simply replace the blender blade with the bottle cap (also screw-on) and you're done. Blending performance is good, and it cuts through a solid amount of spinach and kale. You must always hold the bottle while mixing; There are no buttons here, and the trigger mechanism depends on the torque you apply to the bottle. Two downsides: the closing/latching mechanism on the lid isn't very secure (I've spilled a few times), and the bottle is narrow enough to be difficult to clean by hand (maybe if you have small hands you can go the all the way). If you usually mix for multiple people, you'll obviously need a little extra.
