WORKS WITH Samsung, no PC required.

I have a Samsung Smart TV 50" model UN50J5201AFXZA, no PC connected at all. Read all the Samsung horror stories here, unfortunately after I bought it and it was on the way. Was ready to tick Super, anyway I tried it. Plugged the USB receiver into the TV's USB socket, went into the settings to set it up, noticed that it had already recognized that it was touching the touchpad and a cursor appeared on the screen with which i could navigate, went to the entered web browser in the google search field no problem, surfed the internet for a while and posted in forums, still no problem, now test the app: went to netflix, it let me scroll with the touchpad, opened the search, started typing, nothing BUT it allowed me to use the mouse to select letters from the pop-up on-screen keyboard, which is a million times easier than using it g of the remote control. Considering that I don't plan to write 30 countries dissertation in apps, basically just about the search box and the auto suggestion usually comes up after typing two letters what I'm looking for and the touchpad even makes typing those two letters 10 times easier than using the remote controls without being able to type a word or two into the application search. The field is not a deal breaker. The web browser is where usage really shines. With just the remote control, the web browser is pretty much useless. Novelty. with keyboard, a functional and valuable addition to your Smart TV. So if you have a Samsung evaluate your own usage, get it for a web browser? Works perfectly. do you get it for apps doesn't have full functionality, but still better than the remote control. But it WORKS, no need to connect the computer. I can also use the Page Up/Page Down buttons to change channels on the TV. I'm sure I'll find more uses as I use it, I'll update this when I do.
