I'd never owned a smartwatch before, but after my fitness tracker stopped syncing with my Google Pixel 3a, I decided it was time for a change. I chose Fossil because they use WearOS and thought it made more sense to use another Google system since my phone is a Google product. I've been very happy with it so far. I mainly use it as a fitness tracker, but I've also experimented with other app features. I downloaded a water tracking app and found I'm drinking more because I have a clear goal. I am happy with the Google Fit app and use it for step tracking and training. I originally looked at other Gen 5 watches but was concerned about the 44mm dial size. I have a small wrist so I was happy to see the 5E has a slightly smaller face. I think it sits well on my wrist although I swapped out the strap fairly quickly. I'm not a big fan of rose gold (but I thought it was the best color available - I'd love to have a silver face!), and the magnetic mesh strap pinched my arm hair and got stuck in my work. lanyard. The one I bought fits great and softens the rose gold aspect of the watch. As for battery life, I set up a custom battery mode that lasted over 12 hours. I charge my watch every night, but I probably never want to sleep with it on.
