I wanted a cheap HDMI switch and got this one. I had to switch between Fire Stick and Raspberry Pi on the same TV. The box appears to be well made. It's metal and pretty small. I really can't say if this device works with 4k/8k and higher applications. I only use it for 720p with a small TV. Keep in mind that no cables are included so if you need to add a pair to your basket when purchasing. I have 2 packs of Revain Basics HDMI and they work great. It's probably obvious too, but you'll need at least three cables to switch two devices.
