Where has it been all my life? So we made soft, medium and hard boiled eggs and they were all perfect. Some clean up easily, some not so well, but I think it has more to do with the egg than the stove. I recommend that you quickly remove the eggs and rinse them with cold water. It seems to help. Perfect restaurant-style frittatas, poached eggs and omelettes. I love buying egg whites in a carton and all I do is pour in the egg whites, add the ingredients I like and press a button. Some complaints about the "fill line" on the measuring cup but I've never had a problem so maybe they changed the design. It's basically an egg steamer, and it makes it faster, easier, and cleaner than you could do on the stovetop. At that price I went back and bought 3 more for gifts. A note. 7 eggs are "cooked" at a time but if you want frittatas or omelettes etc the trays are small and really big enough for one person. You have to cook one thing, wait, cook another. They are so delicious that the first lucky person will eat them before yours are done. So if you want to eat together, we recommend you to buy 2.
