Review on 📦 Utryit Laptop Case for Old MacBook Pro 13" Retina (2012-2015) - Marble Hard Case Cover + Keyboard Cover by Ben Daugherty

I take my personal laptop to work and needed something to protect it. I bought a separate soft case for protection against falls, so mainly for protection against daily handling, packing and unpacking, transporting from the table to the conference room, etc. I wanted: 1. hard case, 2. port covers, 3. screen protector and 4. Keyboard protection. I looked at dozens of different ones over the course of several weeks before settling on this one. My laptop is also 5-6 years old so I was grateful to have so many options. Case: I was really pleasantly surprised at how nice the case looks. I bought one that mimics a cut piece of stone and it's really beautiful in person. The case is matte which enhances the illusion of a stone. It even has a little texture over the pattern. I am very happy with it. The case itself snaps into place without any problems and literally almost does not increase the volume of the computer. It has no padding so I'm not sure how much drop protection the hard plastic itself has, but that's why I bought a soft carry case. The case is not transparent at all, so the logo is not visible. However, my computer is silver, so I'm not sure if a darker laptop will show through. The only downside is that my wrists rest on the edge of the computer when typing, and the hard plastic edge is a bit rough. Port Protection: The port covers are included and they are great. It's hard to tell (I tried to take a picture but couldn't show it), but each has icons showing which port it's connected to. I thought it was a really nice touch. They're firmly in place and I've had no problem with them popping out or being accidentally ripped out. There are a few extras included which is nice too because I'm sure I'll lose a couple! Screen and keyboard protectors: The screen protector is plastic, not glass (my computer isn't touchscreen), but something is better than nothing! Application was fairly easy and quick, but I have phone and tablet screen protectors, so I have experience with them. They provide all the extras to ensure you get a good application - an alcohol pad (which I didn't use, I used a damp microfiber cloth), tape, cleaning cloth, etc. The keyboard cover is a little odd - it's crisp and simple. sits on top of the keyboard but doesn't stick, so it looks a little wobbly (see image). I'm not thrilled with the looks, but it protects the keyboard and I can see how much it helps (not to mention I've been known to knock over a cup of coffee). This creates a firmer, "stickier" feel on the keys when typing. I can take it off, wash it and let it dry and then put it back on. It would be nice to get a fun colored one like I've seen elsewhere but I'm happy with the protection. Overall I got exactly the set of components I wanted at a great price and I am very happy with the purchase. All parts fit my old laptop perfectly and it gives me the confidence to have stylish protection.
