What skin quality means to people can vary greatly. This strap is comfortable and the hardware is good. The quick release on the spring bar is very good. But the leather, while natural, doesn't feel premium. It will not patinate nicely as it accumulates wear and absorbs oil. The skin is scratched, smoothed and shiny by absorbing the oil. This is a natural material. It has no real signs of wear, so it really doesn't look like real leather. It has a ductile feel despite being soft, but will likely last a while if handled well. The color is good, so at least it looks good and is comfortable. If you really want beautiful skin, you'll probably have to pay more.
