Review on πŸ‘œ Travelpro Maxlite 5 Laptop Travel Tote Bag - Best Carry-on for Seamless Trips by Phil Oliveira

Revainrating 3 out of 5

So close, so close to being a truly amazing bag. But no.

This bag has every chance of becoming a great bag, but it wasn't enough. Pros: It's very, very spacious. I took an 11" laptop and a 1" deployment folder with me on the trip along with all my phones, cables and other stuff and it had plenty of room. I really like the glide strip on the back of the handle. It sits very securely on my TravelPro onboard reel - it sticks out a bit on each side. The small magnetic pocket on the outside is a game changer - perfect for your phone and passport. I felt organized and worried less about where I put things. Bag: insufficiently structured. If you download this bag, it is still flexible. The sides are not stiff enough. The straps also don't reach to the floor, so if there are a lot of them, it just sags. The pockets are not reinforced enough. There's a great internal pocket that's perfect for a wallet, but when you put it in, the page turns. The magnetic pocket on the outside worked great when I was traveling alone, but on a family day out trying to keep track of 4 passports just flipping the side down was enough. The bottle pocket on the side didn't seem very reliable even with a full water bottle - I was afraid it would fall out.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
