Review on Lepow Portable Monitor Upgraded Computer Ultra Slim 15.6", 1920X1080P, 60Hz, Built In Speakers, Z1 - Ultra Slim Black by Dustin Harter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Updated Rating: Not worth the price

**Update** After about 5 months of using the monitor, a large gray spot appeared on the lower left side of the monitor. It's a burden because it was already dark to begin with. I've reviewed a few troubleshooting tips, but I don't think there's much I can do about it. I cannot recommend this monitor more highly and will most likely find a small desktop monitor to replace it. I should have returned it when I had the chance. If you decide to do this, wait for the coupon and buy the cheapest version. There is nothing "modernized" about this product. Original Rating: Pretty good portable monitor. I work remotely for two companies (two laptops) and since I also set up my mobile office in different locations on a weekly basis, I needed a second monitor that could travel with me. It's also nice to be able to shut up shop every weekend and not have a large external monitor lurking unused in my home office (which turns out to be my cafeteria for other uses!). So the portability aspect is great. Highly recommended if you're mobile, remote and a stationary external monitor just doesn't make sense. I'm showing an image of a monitor connected to my 13" MacBook Pro (middle) with a 15" MacBook Pro on the right. It's definitely useful to have extra screen real estate for a 13-inch. The downsides are the brightness, which just isn't as bright as the Mac, but I took another reviewer's advice and adjusted the blue light setting. It just loses some contrast, but I'm not working on a design or image on an external monitor. The other downside was that I spent a few bucks more on the "upgraded" model, and that's no surprise. In fact, the silver detail with the logo extends from one corner (see image). There was also a weird piece of plastic stuck to the screen under the bezel that I just tape under the screen. Not a deal breaker, just feels like a budget monitor compared to a more expensive monitor. Overall, it's comfortable to hold and the mobile aspect is amazing. I would buy this again but maybe choose one of the cheaper Lepow models with a coupon.
