Wobbly Wheels in Arts and Crafts

I have the original Spirograph to compare and I have to say the quality of the new one is lame. The original was made out of hard acrylic that could actually shatter if you tried to destroy one of the wheels. The new one is made of a much softer and more flexible material. While I don't have a definitive opinion on any of the materials, if the product works, the new Spirograph unfortunately had a couple of defective wheels, which I believe are down to the materials. Unfortunately, gears 80, 72 and 63 were not flat and had such a runout that they reliably popped out of the teeth of the outer ring in which I tried to turn them. bad enough not to work. I see extremely frustrated young artists ruining their work by using a wobbly wheel on a complex, almost finished design. The defect is really annoying and I wonder about the durability of the set given the soft materials. The rest of the wheels offer plenty of designs to play around with and the price isn't overly cheap so overall it's not a bad product to buy as a gift, especially if it's for kids who have never come across a set have played . I added the pictures. The first photo shows wheel 72 in a horizontal position. Figure 2 shows a slight pressure applied to part of the swing that creates a significant gap on the opposite side.
