Review on Idea Waterproof Motorcycle Gear Indicator LED Display For Yamaha (Green) by Roy Whetstone

I only give 4 stars because there are no instructions in the packaging. (unless I'm lucky). However, if you have common sense, you can watch YouTube videos and you will be fine. It was a fairly simple setup. The product does what it says on the tin and is accurate if you program it on your first ride. I will include steps to help anyone with a 2014 R6 or similar models. Remove the tank and associated panels to route the wiring. Find the speed sensor. Mine was in the top right corner once you removed the tank. This is a 3 wire connection. (White) Connect the connectors to the corresponding connectors on the display. Red wire - electricity. I tapped the tail light with mine. (Of course) The green wire goes to the crankshaft compressor. (Gray wire) I had it almost directly under the speed sensor. It was a two-wire, yellowish plug. (4 total) with a white/grey sheath protecting the wires. Cut off the skin and insert the green wire into the gray wire. Ready! Hope this helps someone. Once again a good product for the money. I honestly wasn't expecting much so it exceeded my expectations.
