They remind me of old-fashioned tennis shoes with their canvas material and contrast stitching. The laces are very cute, they use canvas color and contrast stitching and are woven together like a lace. The shoes are great for boating and general wear. But they are not suitable for hiking. The bottom of the shoe has no arch support and little padding. They have a very good rubber sole so they don't slip. They are stylish enough to be easily worn by both genders. Would look great with shorts or jeans. (I ordered black.) My husband hasn't worn them yet so I can't confirm how long they will last. The only part where these shoes can fall apart is where the rubber is glued to the canvas. Otherwise there is double stitching all over the canvas so this part should last a very long time.
