Review on GURUN Lighted Magnification Oil Rubbed M1809DO by Julie Lemus

I bought my wife a 10 way brushed nickel model. We already had a really unlit cheap Ikea that seemed to work, but she saw one in a Vegas hotel and said she wanted one. Centimeters away from him or he'll blur. She likes it, I don't. I can't see the hairs on my ears because they are too far from my face. When I turn to see my ears, everything is blurry because it's too far away. The coverage area is very narrow. I probably should have gone for the 7x magnification as it would expand the field of view a bit. However, my wife loves it. She plucks her eyebrows and facial hair and this thing shows EVERYTHING. Installation was pretty easy. There are (3) triangular screws used to attach the mounting plate to the wall and then the mirror screws onto the top of the mounting plate. I was hoping to find a wall stud behind my drywall bathroom walls for at least one of the screws. but there were no bolts where we wanted to put them. The wall screws come with strong plastic anchors. I used a 1/4" drill bit for the pilot hole and tapped the anchors lightly with a hammer. The screws seemed to cut well and the mounting plate didn't move at all. I finger tightened the small screws connecting the mirror of the mounting plate as they flex the plate slightly.Once installed it seems to be quite solid.The large flat head allows the screw at the base of each mirror joint to rotate easily for easier movement YMMV.
