Distorted 10x magnification

I am farsighted so I like to use a high magnification mirror, for example to remove contact lenses. I used to have a great 10x illuminated vanity mirror that cost significantly less than this mirror but gave a clear image with no distortion. Unfortunately it broke during my bathroom renovation so I needed a replacement and ordered this one but the 10x magnification was horribly distorted. I could see a small part of my face then everything else looked "wavy" so I sent this mirror back.

Simple construction and 10x magnification is too much for me. However, my wife liked it

I bought my wife a 10 way brushed nickel model. We already had a really unlit cheap Ikea that seemed to work, but she saw one in a Vegas hotel and said she wanted one. Love this mirror so much!

I had an unlit double-sided shaving mirror, but it was always difficult to see because the light in the bathroom was only on one side. No outlet was close enough for a normally lit mirror. I didn't want to spend money to install a mirror-only outlet, so I just lived with it, that is, until I stumbled upon this mirror. It was the perfect solution.
