Danger: micro SD slot crack which may eat your micro SD card

Brought on PRIM day. Good price. But this reader has a problem with the micro SD card housing. After using the micro SD card a few times, it works fine but the inside has come loose. The gap in the micro SD card is getting bigger and bigger. I accidentally put the card in the slot. The case ate my sprawling micro SD card. I have to force the case open to get my expansion card out. After the rescue, the reader became unusable and my card was bent. What a terrible event!

DO NOT BUY - Memory Card Reader

This thing sucks. Badly damaged, missing files. I have tried all available means to copy files or even run cloning software. Either the copy process failed or the files were missing every time. Revan gave me my money back. Don't waste your time and money on this thing, it's really a bad product,

The USB cover is stronger than the body.

When I first opened this product I was amazed at how stylish and durable it was for the price until I tried to remove the cover. The moment I opened the cover, the entire card reader chip came right out of the aluminum case. I was able to put it back in and the SD and Micro SD card readers work as intended, but I'm sure it would be annoying to pull it out of my computer's USB socket as the case would just slide off and the card in would leave my computer . A little thicker than I had hoped.

just got this and it seems to be working as expected. The problem is that I have a Thinkpad T430 laptop with recessed USB 3.0 ports. This adapter is too thick to connect directly, so I have to use the USB3 extension. Unfortunately, this oversized problem is quite common with USB flash drives. I should point out that the microSD slot is a spring-loaded locking slot. The standard SD slot is inserted and removed manually.

Perfect answer: Computers and accessories

I built a new computer and there was no card reader in the case. I only read SD and micro SD cards and this allows me to read both without having to mess around with a micro to SD adapter. Connected to my computer immediately and booted up very quickly from my USB 3.2 port. Haven't tried the micro SD slot yet, but the SD slot worked great. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Eliminates headaches caused by poor Windows design

This product allowed me to read my camera's SD cards after my HP desktop PC's internal card reader failed. When inserting the card into the internal reader, Windows 10 signals an error and insists that the card needs to be formatted. I don't know how many unfortunate people have actually done this without realizing that they then lost all their files.
