I have a caveat here. As long as you don't go too deep into the grooves of the golf club with the tool, it will do an excellent job of cleaning the grooves. As you go deeper it will actually cut through the metal, deepening and sharpening the grooves. For the average golfer, this is normal. If you enter tournaments or events with cash prizes, you are making the grooves illegal and subject to disqualification. At the same time it works well.
