Review on 🐠 Boxtech Automatic Fish Feeder - Programmable Timer Fish Food Dispenser for Aquarium - Battery Operated Auto Fish Feeder (Batteries Not Included) by Sean Vazquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can be used for beta tanks or large aquariums with multiple fish

Portions can be adjusted. The number of cycles can also be changed. Great mounting options. Keeps food dry. My beta version - due to the way it was designed I was able to make the dispenser opening smaller so only a few pellets fall out with each rotation of the feeder by simply putting a piece of blue tape over part of the opening. The blue tape I'm talking about is painter's tape, which is usually used for painting to avoid painting over the lines. So it is suitable for humidity and non-sticky, so food will accumulate and clog the food dispenser opening. It's also easy to remove so it can be used in other aquariums that need more food. Many feeders have more options than necessary and programming can be a problem. This has a few more options if you really want to, but it also has a quick program option so you can just choose to feed the fish 1-4 times a day; 1 time every 24 hours 2 times every 12 hours etc. There is also a quick selection option for the number of revolutions. So if you want to close the feed hole a little more to get a more accurate amount of feed dispensed daily, you can choose between 1 - 3 turns. So after you program it once, it is very easy to program for example 3 times a day and 2 revolutions each. Or 1 time per day and 1 rotation. The quick setup instructions are easy to follow. Make sure any feeder you buy has a manual feed button. This way you can check how much feed is released with each rotation of the feed barrel. Always check 3 or more times to get an average of the amount of feed being dispensed. (I don't think I need to say this, but that's a feature of this particular feeder) NOTE: Price and functionality also don't necessarily correlate with these feeders. I bought a $25 feeder that worked better than the under $40-50 ones so reviews are very important when purchasing. A higher price does not mean a higher quality or a better feeder overall. Probably better to take.
