I bought these for my mother in law who will only use this camera in "automatic" mode so I look at it from that point of view. Overall, this is a decent point-and-shoot camera for the price. I chose it because it has a bigger screen for my aging mother-in-law, which she appreciates. My/her main complaint is that the 4 navigation buttons (around the Feature Set button) are quite small and difficult to press (again with aging, arthritic hands). She also wishes there was a dedicated delete button for deleting images (usually the trash can icon). Instead, deleting the image is a 3 or 4 step process that she finds counterintuitive. As with any camera in this price range, performance in low light and action scenes is limited. In good light, the performance is very good. The camera is not bad for the price.
