Review on 🧦 FORMEU Women's Athletic Low Cut Ankle Quarter Cushion Socks with Moisture Wicking by Steve Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comparable to Bombas Women's Low Ankle Socks

Update: I've changed my rating to 5 stars as I'm only now ordering them again. They lasted a long time and deserve another star! I ordered these socks to compare with the Bombas low ankle socks. I wanted a high cotton sock (personal preference) that would work well in hiking and jogging shoes. I found them superior to the bomb brand in every way but one. While comparably sized bomb socks (according to the bomb size chart) are too loose and cause wrinkles and folds when I put my foot in the shoe, these socks fit just right. I'm a women's size 9 and they're comfortable, they stretch well but aren't so loose that they bunch up. I also had issues with the bomb band at the top of the sock being too tight and digging into the top of my foot/ankle, possibly due to my very high arches. I had no issues with the tape on these socks. The material is loosely woven at the top of the foot for good breathability, but tightly woven at the heel, underfoot and around the toes for cushioning. The extra amount of material on the back of the ankle keeps it from slipping into my shoe while running. There's a tighter band around the arch that provides comfortable support. The only way these socks improve is if they have a flat seam at the toes, like bomb socks. There is a significant seam at the toe which can be bothersome if you have sensory issues or wear them for repetitive exercise. I solved this problem by turning my socks inside out when I wear them. Now these are almost perfect running socks for about 1/4 the price of Bombas socks.
