Review on Enhanced Storage Power: SanDisk 64GB X2 (128GB) MicroSDXC Ultra Uhs-1 Memory Card by Michael Rosario

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They do well, maybe better than their U rating.

I actually accidentally bought these chips for a drone they weren't compatible with (the drone had a maximum recording capacity of 32GB) but kept them, because I take a lot of digital photos and they will work in my DSLR. I then bought a DJI Mavic Mini, whose instructions specifically state that it requires U3-rated micro SD cards. and they only have a U1 rating. So I bought a U3 card that I bought on duty and at one point I put that in the Mini's test case. Right now I had nothing to lose but try. I was expecting lags or dropouts or other anomalies. but it seems to pick up my 2.7k/30fps video well. I've been using these SD cards for shooting video and photos in my Canon 5D Mark III DSLR for a few weeks now and they're working great again. I've often seen how much buffering works with older SD or CF cards. Not with these chips. Based on the "specified" requirements for the Mavic Mini, I'll probably buy U3 cards in the future, but these work surprisingly well. I suspect a drone capturing 4k at high bitrates would need higher rated cards, but these Sandisk cards seem to work well for me in my current applications. They are a very good buy for the capacity.

Pros
  • Performance Rating: Class 10 (based on SD 2.00 spec)
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions
