This is a great lighter with a bendable neck to get into candles very easily. It's nice that it comes with a cover to protect the ignition coil when in a drawer. There's an off slide switch and a ignition button. The slide switch must be on and the ignition button pressed or ignition won't occur. Comes with a USB type C charger cord. I took this camping and it failed miserably. It had not rained yet but the moisture was in the air. Tried to light some cotton balls soaked in alcohol. fail. How does it not light alcohol? Great candle lighter! No more running out of lighter fluid, matches, or burning your fingers. I know some complained about dogs hearing a noise. Yes, my dogs hear it, but all they do is tilt their heads for the few seconds I am using it. No big deal.

Does not hold a charge. Basically for it to be usable we have to keep in on the charger at all times and even then it only works for a few seconds. Useless. Have had it less than a month.Edit: after writing this review the company sent us two new lighters in order to remedy the problem. The second worked and appeared to be a new model that had a square body instead of round. The square model works great and holds a charge just fine!

I bought this lighter in September. I had to charge it around three times in that first month. About a month after purchasing, the lighter stop holding a charge (thus rendering it useless) and multiple attempts to reach out to the brand's customer support have been unsuccessful. The product was partly charged upon arrival which is great for first use. It is pretty hard to light candles with tho. It will not light if the candle wick has black built-up residue. It will start to light, sparks flies everywhere, and eventually turns off. I’ve started to cut the wick and clean it a little before lighting now. Great tool! It works exactly like the desktop auto lighters for torches, except it's handheld. A fraction of the price. Fabulous hack for jewelers.

Not only is it eco friendly but saves money on having to get a new lighter every time the liquid runs out. Battery life is good. A full charge has lasted me a good few weeks. Safety features are great. Perfect if you have kids who like to get into everything.

The noise it emits is really bad. Otherwise, not too bad. Safety features are pretty much nonexistent, so keep out of reach of children.

It worked. Battery life was never an issue. Actually getting it to light a wick was not as easy as I thought it should be. After only a dozen times used or so the fine tips that the plasma arc across fouled/became damaged and it created to be functionaly useful.

It’s incredibly safe though has burnt up a bit since I originally got it, but it’s nice Since it’s electric and I don’t need to refill the butane constantly. P.S. not for use for trying to start actual fires it’s good for candles which I use a lot.

This works so much better than those trigger lighters that you have to press 2 buttons at the same time. I have arthritic hands and this lights my candles sooooooo much easier

This a sturdy lighter, but I would be careful using it as it can cut the wick down making it hard to light the candle. The electric zap is a bit scary, but works well.
