***First things first: unlike most flame lighters, this has no child safety features! There is the small on/ off slide switch then the press button to ignite the electrical light. It takes no effort to light! Use caution where this is stored in a home with children or teach them safety measures that this is not a toy! ***Not sure why I'm just finding out about this nifty little contraption but it is effortless to use and I love that! The product was packaged well upon receipt of the product. It had a full charge out of the box so I was about to use it right away. Some of the candle types I use are 3 wick white barn candles and from time to time wooden wick candles and for this review I only lit the white barn candles. Right out of the box I was able to switch on and pressed the little power button and the lighter had the small electrical light in the center glowing. When its on it gives off a sound like the worlds tinest taser! The wick actually lit faster than it did when I use traditional flame lighters. I was pleasantly surprised! The neck of the lighter is flexible so I'm about to adjust it if I needed to.Charging the battery uses the USB cord provided. That being said, the cord is not a very long so again be mindful of where you're charging it so that you protect small children.
