I am a pediatric nurse in the intensive care unit. I often have to wear reading glasses to take care of patients. In these days of Covid-19, many people think that pediatric patients will not get infected with Covid-19, but that is wrong. Also, I'm in a hotspot. Therefore, we receive patients with suspected coronavirus. Being 65 years old, I obviously need reading glasses, but not always. I cannot remove my personal protective equipment to put on the readers. And I need goggles for general care procedures such as suctioning, personal patient care where patients are coughing, trying to breathe and crying/screaming. Because I can't stop putting my readers on and I can't use my bifocals. I need near and very far correction, but no mid-range correction, these clear range and reading range readers are PERFECT for me. I can put them on before entering the room after putting on PPE as much as possible as we lack PPE and care for my patients. I don't have to take them off until I leave the room. Admittedly, they are not as protective as ski goggles. But they work for me. If possible, I wear a face shield over it. I can't wear a face shield when I need an IV or other meticulous stuff, so I rely on these goggles. I hope they give me enough protection. But they give me a clear idea of how to take care of their patients. Everyone stay at home! Take care! Take care!
