Review on Komax Container Containers Dispenser BPA Free by Sarah Cox

I would like to start this review by explaining that I received my containers and found that two of them were already damaged (the hinges/clasps that snap into place were broken). I believe this is a quality control issue and I've read about it from previous customer reviews. I ordered the kit anyway, thinking it was a rare defect and I wouldn't be one of the unlucky few. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo, I was wrong. For this reason I give the product 3 out of 5 stars. I immediately contacted Revain customer service and the exchange was approved immediately. The new containers I received were good and without the previous version. This would definitely be a disappointing purchase if it weren't for the easy and convenient replacement process. Now we come to a container overview. When inspected, the containers are certainly rigid; The plastic is thick and looks durable. I did a water test and the containers passed the water leak test. As for the air leak test, I'm not really sure, but I believe the containers hold the air fairly well (assuming no water leaked first). That being said, it's entirely possible that the food stored in it will still oxidize to some extent, so I'll just be mindful of how long you keep things. As for the capacity of the containers, I originally planned to use them to store rice (25). -pound sack, in particular). When I received them, I found that they were a bit smaller than I expected (e.g. a large 388-ounce container can only hold about 20 pounds of rice?). To be on the safe side, look in the product description for carton sizes to get a good idea. My biggest concern is with these containers, probably the hinges/flaps that hold the lid in place. As mentioned, the first set of containers I received had defects on the lid. I don't know how long these hinges will last if I keep turning them on and off. I think time will tell. Otherwise, containers seem to suffice for storage. If anything else comes up due to usage I will try to come back and update this review.
