I bought these in desperation when two of my nice bed sheets were ruined by someone turning on my dryer in the laundry room. They are so soft and quite thick compared to some cotton sheets. Not so much that they make a lot of noise in the middle of the night. I was a little nervous about the bad reviews but we needed sheets so I bought them. Although I don't really use the bag, it's nice to have one a few times I'm listening to something on my phone to help me sleep. The most important thing about these sheets and how to wash them. Do not use fabric softener, wash cold, tumble dry low. If you take care of things as directed, they will last a long time. I live in New England and with the change in weather they have been great on both hot and cold nights. Offers comfort in both temperatures. Take a risk if you want a decent and inexpensive set of linens. I love that they come with 4 pillowcases. I know some reviewers were upset that they aren't all the same. I prefer it this way so I know whose pillows they are in the morning when I make my bed
