Review on Zalman Performa Performance Powerful Included by Agata Tyszkiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Installation is simple if you prepare a comfortable workspace on the table in advance. The main thing is not to overtighten the bolts so as not to strip the thread, I advise you to periodically turn the motherboard over and see how deep they go into the nuts. In my copy, the bolts are for a Phillips screwdriver, and not for a hex. In some reviews they wrote that a stub square is not needed (for Intel) - in my motherboard there is no way without it, the contacts stick out too much from it, it's easy to short it with a backplate. Thermal paste is sufficient. At the expense of noise, I tested my system (i7 3770), I saw that at 900-970 rpm, the percentage heats up to 53 degrees in 100% load in applications, and up to 60% in stress tests (even rendering of a 3D scene does not load him so). Therefore, it is enough to set the minimum speed in the BIOS and start increasing them from 60 degrees, which seems to happen very rarely. At idle 30-40 degrees. Of course, I can’t say that it is silent, maybe I’ll put the propeller quieter over time. If you touch the cooler at the top with your fingers, it is barely warm during the stress test, but not at all during normal operation.

Pros
  • Price, quiet propeller up to 1000 rpm, good result.
Cons
  • I got a kit that comes without a resistor.
