Review on EEEKit Wireless Controller Gamepad Nintendo by Roberto Manzer

Really good controllers at an affordable price

I was basically looking for Xbox style controllers to use with my PC and came across these. Although designed for Switch Pro controllers, they work great as PC controllers. The caveat is that if you want them to work out of the box, they have to work as wired controllers, because when you pair them with Bluetooth, Windows will recognize them as Switch Pro controllers and not Xbox 360 controllers, which you need to be compatible with most games and emulators. Another oddity is that if you turn off your computer while one of them is on, the light on the controller won't go out no matter what. You must turn the computer back on and then turn off the controller before the light goes out. To use them wirelessly, the easiest way is to buy an 8-bit Bluetooth adapter that can be configured as an Xbox 360 controller (note that for some reason it takes 2-3 minutes to pair each time), but these adapters are $20 each and you need one for each controller. So I just bought one and wired the other all the time. The included cables are also very short, so I ordered some cheap USB AC cables that work great. Last but not least, these controllers aren't the most comfortable for long gaming sessions, the ergonomics just aren't the best, but they're not overly uncomfortable either, I've used a lot worse (original Xbox or N64 looks at you). But if you can see through it all, you get a really good return on that money. The vibration is a bit strong but it works, the D-Pad, buttons, triggers and sticks are all top notch, equal or even better than what you would expect from a standard controller. Battery life seems good so far, but I often plug it in to charge so I'm not sure yet.
