I have 2 other electric staplers, Arrow and Bostitch. Both sell for about 1/3 that Roberts. Honestly, they work just as well as Roberts. Unlike Roberts, they use easily accessible braces. Despite the tall 15-amp solenoid, Roberts won't drive a 9/16-inch clamp in oak, eucalyptus, hard maple, and some plywood. It works well on soft materials like pine, fir and softer plywood. Despite the large solenoid, it leaves 9/16. The 16" staples (yes, the correct DuoFast) protrude about 1/8" above the material. My pneumatic staplers handle oak and hard plywood with ease. The illustrations in the instructions are illegible. Adjust the cord so you have to cut a slit to get the cord out.
