It was very easy to set up. There are long screws on each side of the strap that you remove with the screwdrivers provided, and after removing the strap you screw the bracket in place with the same screws. This allows you to quickly switch to a band or bike mount. It seems durable. The bike mount is also easy to set up and actually mounts to aero bars easier than what I previously did with the bike computer app and then Garmin's bike mount. This is much lighter than the previous design. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 simply because the mount, while less bulky than I imagined from the photos, still lifts your watch 7mm (or 1/4 inch) off the bracelet. I'm not an expert, but I think something could be devised that would allow the entire metal back of the device to be removed and replaced with something that offers half that distance, or even have a quick release mechanism built into the base device . since it is a multisport device. However, this backplate has an additional advantage: there is a notch on the back that fits the charger perfectly, which makes it easier for me to reach the charger. Make contact on the first try instead of multiple attempts.
