Review on Versatile Dimmable Control Equivalent for Industrial Lighting: Transforming Colors and Electrical Components by Jason Hayes

The colors are not very bright

It seems to live up to expectations, but I was a little upset that the colors are not very bright. I used a Kill-a-Watt energy meter and when the warm white light is on at full brightness, the lamp draws only 5 watts, not the 10 watts advertised. If you then choose a color other than warm white, the bulb will consume 1 watt. I would say that is reflected in the brightness of the bulb. Colors appear much dimmer than full brightness for warm white. At the same time, the warm white color at full brightness is equivalent to the brightness of other traditional colorless LED lamps in our home with the same warmth. Also, the lamp is described as having 120 colors, but that's more like 61 colors. If you switch colors on the remote, there are only about 60 settings. Of course there are different brightness levels for the colors, but that doesn't really change the overall color, it just makes it darker. Maybe there are 120 colors in the cycle mode, but it turns out that the user can only choose 60 colors. 60 suits me. It combines all the holiday colors and some extra features that my kids love. I like the dimming levels in warm white mode. The low level is pretty low. In general, I'd like the colors to be as bright as warm white at max brightness, but oh well. These bulbs are perfect for outdoor holiday lighting.
