I'm also ashamed of negative reviews. I had ittalk for about a week and used it with my iPod photo almost every day. I've used it in rather difficult conditions - I'm an opera singer and I've recorded rehearsals (vocals and piano in both small and large rooms) with it with excellent results. I'm not expecting studio quality sound here, but I find the results are surprisingly good. I am impressed. I haven't had any issues with battery life - so far I've recorded an hour and a half - and that's on a pod that wasn't even fully charged. Haven't had any problems with freezing yet. I appreciate the ease of use and transmission. It's been a great tool for me so far. I'll use my MD recorder when I need the most professional results, but as an everyday recorder it's perfect. --- a note --- when i connected italk to my ipod for the first time, i also got the message "microphone not connected", but i quickly realized that the only problem was my ipod's silicone case, which not allowing ittalk to fully snap onto my pod. A few modifications to my body - thanks to Scissors - and I'm ready to shoot.
