NOT EXACTLY! in lighting and electrical engineering

Does not provide accurate readings. My multimeters show 12.8 volts on a fully charged deep cycle marine battery. This pose shows 12.5. Totally unacceptable if you never want a flooded lead acid battery to drop below 70% at 12.3V. It already shows it halfway to my discharge threshold when fully charged directly from my store charger.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Quality

Bright and reliable!

Bright! The display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. Accuracy within 0.1 VDC. Current, tested on my (uncalibrated) verified industrial UEI multimeter. Works well enough to test the power output of my bike's charging system. Beautiful flashing function under 11.5 volts! Came with 3M double sided tape and double insulated wire about 18 inches long.

  • Cool Product
Cons

Best discover and read at Sensors

Voltmeter is great UNLESS the refresh rate was 10 or 15 seconds! Yes, I'm exaggerating, but not by much. The display is great, if you are using it to monitor the system voltage for a high performance audio system this is NOT the voltmeter for you. If you have a PWC or other recreational equipment that you want to control at a glance, this might be for you.

  • Pleased

Accurate, quick update, waterproof.

This item is great for the price. That's 0.1 volts less than my meter. It's light, waterproof and easy to assemble. Also, this thing updates in a second or two. As soon as I turn on the headlight or any other load, this counter shows the current load. He reacts quickly. Accurate enough, fast update, waterproof, bright. What else do you need? Good value for money.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not exactly at all.

Looks good but is NOT accurate. When I compare the voltage across this sensor with my good quality multimeter just for testing purposes, it is always at least 0.5V to 1.0V lower than the actual voltage of a battery I have tested. Small fluctuations might not seem like much, but when you need to read your voltages consistently and accurately, reading 1.0V lower than the actual number is a BIG problem.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Not sure

Hello, I bought 4 pieces from you. After making sure they read voltage I installed 3 of these only to find out that the readings are static and don't change with the actual voltage level. On the same system, one will read 12.4 and the other 12.8 depending on when the measurement was taken. I can't use them and have to send them back.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative gift

Very easy to install and read.

I installed this to keep an eye on the batteries in my van from my living room. I added about 50 feet of similar gauge wire to get in the right place, but it didn't seem to affect the accuracy when checking with a multimeter, checking the reading first before adding the extra length and after. And the displayed readings exactly matched the readings of the multimeter. The quality is not bad, there is a protective film on the front, so there were no scratches on it when it was received. Veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Empty

Right for the price

I have two of these and both still work. They both read the same as my Craftsman voltmeter. (I don't have a fluke) I think red digital light is easier to read in the sun. The other is blue and difficult to see in bright sunlight. He's on a quad, so the sun is shining directly on him. One thing I've noticed is that the readings will flash if they are below 12 volts. I'm not sure where it stops blinking. All I know is that my quad starts charging and stops blinking. (coming to 13.4) You canโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Accurate and good response speed.

Digits are clear and bright, maybe too bright for night time. I put a piece of 20% tint film on the display and now its brightness at night matches the brightness of my stereo display. The blue color goes very well with the colors of my stereo and dashboard. The refresh rate is just right, not too fast to be distracting while driving and fast enough to be on time. The refresh rate is probably 1-2 per second. A comparison between this device and my expensive DMM shows that their voltages matchโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
