Review on πŸ“± Vesul Front Row Organizer Tray for Kia Sorento 2016-2020 ABS Armrest Phone Container, Handle Pocket Insert, Glove Pallet by Masud Taylor

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Easy to install, difficult for me to use effectively

(Added clarifying updates to my original review) These boxes go very well with the 2019 Sorento and I expect to be identified for years to come. They may work fine for other users, but I found two unexpected anomalies. The support flanges of the storage box protrude beyond the armrest pads. As seen in the photo they look thinner and have a lower profile than the ones I received (this may be a design change as the old version images are kept in the description). Due to my posture/riding position, the flange caused discomfort in my left elbow (no soft edges). Others might not see this as a problem, although I always keep my hands on surfaces to reduce fatigue on long drives (I refuse to buy cars that don't have soft upholstery). I've also found that this issue doesn't significantly change my posture in the passenger position, although these situations are less restrained. Box design is the same for all four doors, except the driver and passenger side doors and rear door frames are slightly smaller than the front ones. because of the grip. The outer wall of each box (away from the passenger) curves to form a sloped floor as it meets the inner wall (closest to the passenger). This slot-like bottom makes retrieving small items quite difficult, and in any case, items cannot simply be moved to the "center" and remain accessible. The relevant shape of the box is not shown in any of the pictures in the description, moreover the curved bottom leads to a reduction in usable space. Please note that the phone shown in the description is in a vertical position when placed in the box. I suspect there is something behind the phone as a prop, but with this design, small pieces added when the larger item is already in place work their way onto the "inside" side of the box to prevent it the phone or something is pressed against him. the element is reinserted after deletion. Removing the box each time small items need to be removed is inconvenient and will eventually wear down the foam that holds the box firmly against the doorknob. The overall fit in the grip area is probably the best you can expect, with foam only on the inside. I read a review of a similar accessory that triggered when the doorknob was opened (although I'm not sure if this item fits my Sorento - now Revain searches often come up with matches for incompatible products), but all the boxes on mine left in place, with or without items inside). My most recent previous cars (about half of all bought, it turns out) had a door lock handle in each armrest. These grip pockets had a flat bottom, and I was also used to storing small items in there (sometimes by putting my phone inside). A flat bottom works best for my needs. Judging by the photos in the description these boxes turned out to be a good solution but the two issues above are issues for my use so I sent the set back. until I found a similar flat-bottomed box.
