Good shoes, but dangerous in some situations. Tread needs improvement

I loved them so I'm a little disappointed that I won't be buying them again. I needed shoes with a lot more tread than normal shoes that I could use on muddy trails, crossing streams, walking on slippery wooden bridges in the rain, etc. I'm from Oregon so it's usually wet! I've also tested them on several 40-mile hikes. They are great in the following ways: Looks amazing, black goes with everything and doesn't look dirty unless it's covered in mud. The laces are light and fast. The weight is very light which is great for longer runs and hikes. Breathable - airy! They dry quickly and are therefore also easy to clean. Arch support is good, I didn't have to put other insoles in. Durable, I haven't seen any signs of falling apart or wear and tear, probably around the 200-300 mile mark (which is usually when I start thinking about new running shoes). ! Walking on pavement - feels a bit weird Walking on smooth surfaces - actually dangerously slippery, lacking traction Walking on smooth surfaces - ridiculously bad, like on ice. For example, you can't wear them to the gym if you don't have other sports shoes. Stream/Log Crossing - I took off these shoes after getting some good scares. Driving is quite difficult to drive if you want to. I'm not a shoe expert and may have no idea what the heck I ordered, but my old trail running shoes that I loved had way more grip, so I figured any trail runner is better than regular running shoes. I would love to see a better profile version of this shoe!
