Worst vise I have ever used. I bought two to put side by side. The first problem is that you can't use them without a rotating base. If you try to screw them on without a socket, they get hot and won't stick. My old 6" vise from the same company (HHIP) works fine without the swivel base. They have more meat and are much better made. That's cheap junk. Height. This makes them unusable without a seal. Finishing and overall quality are gone with this vise. I've been using the old one for over 10 years. They work great to this day. It was garbage from the gate. They made them out of so much less material that usability was compromised. Don't waste your money.
