This backpack would have earned 5 stars if it hadn't had one blatant defect. There are no pads under the laptop compartment. I have to put a rolled up towel in the compartment to protect my laptop. The laptop compartment ends at the bottom of the backpack. It doesn't float in the middle of the pack as advertised. Next to. There are plenty of pockets, zips and storage for clothes for up to 2 nights. It's heavy at 2.5 pounds, but that's to be expected when the body is at the front. Definitely only recommended for tall people.
