I purchased my Bissell Spot Clean Pro extractor, and after reading reviews it was increasingly apparent that reinforcing the hose-to-handle connection was critical to getting a long life out of the machine. Some reviewers recommended self-fusing silicone tape, but another reviewer linked this heat shrink (his was in red) as a recommendation for this job.I chose black as it blends in better with the handle color, but it worked just as well. A couple thoughts:-Make sure you have a STRONG heat source. I tried for 20 minutes to use my girlfriend's salon-grade hairdryer, and the tube barely shrank. I don't have easy access to a heat gun, so I turned my electric stove on high and very carefully spun the vacuum hose/heat shrink over the burner and that did the trick. Obviously a heat gun is the better choice here, but this did the job.-The heat shrink is very thick, and quite stiff once shrunk. This is great for my purposes, as it keeps the vacuum hose from kinking at the attachment to the handle. I would think that anyone shrinking 2" heat shrink would want it this way, but just something to keep in mind.Overall, I am very happy with the product, and am sure that I will find other uses for the rest of it, maybe to wrap some automotive hoses/lines/wiring.
