I have been using Stress Zyme in my aquariums for many, many years. It really works. Some know-it-alls applying for a PhD, etc. on fish forums that it is fake, that there is no live cultured bacteria and it cannot function, that live bacteria cannot be kept alive in a liquid bottle. Nonsense. You are taking medication such as liquid penicillin. exactly that. Live bacteria in liquid form. In the bottle. Also, penicillin, the fact that it works, proves that THESE bacteria CAN and do work. Overly educated people need to educate themselves about their facts and sort them out. natural spring lakes or ponds to which mother nature has naturally added beneficial bacteria. I have a Rainbow Shark in my aquarium, I have had him since 1997. He is still healthy, never had any diseases requiring treatment. Even when I had other fish in my tank, this Stress Zyme culture suppressed the odor normally found in a regular tank. I can open the lid and sniff, but I can't really smell anything. When I'm done and don't use for a while, the smell comes back and builds up. Start adding Stress Zyme again and the smell will be gone. With this addition, the fish are more alert and calm. Rainbow fish are very shy and noisy fish. If they are quiet and there is no smell when using them in your aquarium, that means this thing is working. 2 thumbs up.
