Review on Flex Lite 31165 Variable Control by Peris Holland

This controller is not real PWM. Instead it has a soft start, starting the fans at around 60% or 100% duty cycle and binary cycles between those duty cycles around the set temperature. It does not have true PID control of the 0-100% output duty cycle. The unit also makes a pretty loud hum when running the 16 inch SPAL 30102120 fan that I have connected to it. I was hoping this would be a suitable alternative to SPAL. PWMV3 is no longer available, but unfortunately it is not. The amount of hardware you get is impressive. I just wish they had a more expensive option that was true PWM and didn't have spade lugs.
