I always had a normal "air cartridge" to inflate tires. Measure the pressure with a manometer, remove the manometer, add air, repeat. This tool speeds up the process significantly - the display turns on immediately when pressure is detected in the line. The line also has a built in pressure relief, so that's useful too. I don't like the straight end of the hose, but it snaps easily onto the valve stem. The backlight of the manometer can be switched on and off. A set of AAA batteries is included. The air trigger is smooth and easy to use; With a little practice you can easily find the desired pressure for what you are filling. In my opinion it's very, very nice - I'm glad I got it!
