We have an adjustable Tempurpedic king bed. We don't have room to enclose it in a wooden frame. The base is made of soft fabric that our cats love to scratch, especially the corners! Tried everything but got nothing to stay in the corners when our biggest cat started scratching. Besides, most things were just plain ugly. The corners were really torn, I could see the filling! This time, while searching, I finally came across these vinyl strips. They work GREAT! You really stay! The pens are awesome and even when I had to take one out to move it I couldn't find any visible damage! Vinyl works great on corners and doesn't look bad since it's transparent. I wish I had found them before a corner was torn so the padding was sticking out, but the vinyl is all there now after I had to trim the corner. 😞Although the vinyl was on the corners, a favorite spot for cats, my cats also like to scratch other places around the soft pad. That's why these vinyl strips are great though. I've since ordered more and covered all the exposed areas of the soft base. I wouldn't achieve that with a cat scratching post. Fabulous!
